The new Gregorian year has rolled in with pomp, circumstance, and the same worries that plagued us last year! Yet, I am hopeful and excited for the work that lies ahead of me, and for the ongoing relationships I will deepen and build. December travels were quickly followed by Yiddish New York, where I taught a session on the history of Yiddish in Reform Judaism.

Now I am back to writing work: preparing lessons to teach for synagogues, focusing on readying my work for conferences presentations, and settling into routines that will reignite my mind for research. Here’s to focused work in these early 2026 months!
